Since 2011, we have welcomed students, graduates, professionals, and retirees seeking to live and learn among Palestinians in the city of Hebron, West Bank, Palestine. Intensive Arabic Language Courses for 2025/2026

Engage in Palestine is now accepting applications for its Intensive Arabic Language Courses, including winter intensive Arabic courses, summer Arabic programs, online Arabic lessons, and Arabic for kids online for 2025/2026. These programs provide a unique opportunity to learn Arabic quickly through full language immersion in Palestine.

Students can choose from Palestinian and Levantine Colloquial Arabic (Ammiyya), Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), or tailored courses designed to meet their needs. Students have the chance to study 20 hours of instruction per week. With this format, students can quickly acquire Arabic skills and complete a full 80-hour course in just four weeks.

Programs Offered Year-round

Furthermore, the Center offers our intensive Arabic immersion classes year-round (spring, summer, fall, and winter). These Arabic language programs span one week to three months at our base in Hebron, West Bank. Our programs will accommodate you perfectly if you seek short, intensive Arabic courses.

Additionally, it will be a good fit if you are interested in an immersive cultural experience in the West Bank, Palestine, Israel, or the wider Middle Eastern and Islamic world.

A Program Tailored for You!

As one of our Arabic students, you can choose the time and level of studies to meet your needs, language ability, learning preferences, and any other wishes. Naturally, the specific Arabic dialect you want to learn is an important decision. The Engage In the West Bank, Palestine offers many dialects: Modern Standard Arabic, Classical Arabic, Colloquial Palestinian Arabic, all Levantine (Shami) Arabic dialects, and Ammiya Arabic.

Our Arabic classes at the Engage In the West Bank, Palestine, are carefully designed for people who want to learn, practice, or improve their conversational Arabic skills with native speakers. This is all done while enjoying and living the daily life in Palestine, meeting new people, traveling in the Palestinian and Israeli areas, and having a lot of fun in Hebron. Our Arabic lessons are usually taught one-on-one or in small classes of two or three students. We believe that is the key to efficient and student-focused language learning.

Furthermore, each Arabic student can choose the dialect they wish to study. Additionally, the Center will provide all necessary books and learning materials. Participants can decide when they would like to start and end their Arabic programs. Most importantly, we are very flexible with starting dates and duration. You can join us here in Palestine for one week to three months.

There is often a big difference between the various Arabic dialects in the Arab world. Therefore, we recommend carefully choosing a dialect to study, particularly for first-time learners. What is the Difference Between a Non-Intensive, Intensive, and Super-Intensive Course?

All Arabic courses are available in different intensities. The intensity of the Arabic course is different from the course level. The program intensity determines the frequency of classes, as well as their level of immersion and out-of-classroom coursework.

1. Non-Intensive Arabic Course:

The most relaxed intensity available meets for a total of 12 lesson hours (45 minutes per lesson hour) per week, about 3 hours of Arabic courses a day for 3 days a week. This intensity is designed to give students plenty of in-classroom immersion while also giving them plenty of time to explore the city of Hebron, Palestine! We recommend that students interested in a long-term program (anywhere from 1 to 3 months) enroll in a non-intensive Arabic course.

2. Intensive Arabic Course:

Designed to further immerse students into the Arabic language and culture. These courses consist of 20 lesson hours a week, with about 4 teaching hours of Arabic language instruction per day, 5 days a week. Intensive Arabic courses will have additional homework and out-of-classroom assignments.

3. Super-Intensive Arabic Course:

It is designed for students who want a completely immersive, high-intensity, classroom-oriented experience. Courses will include 30 lesson hours of language instruction per week, with 5 hours of language instruction per day, 5 days a week. We recommend Super-Intensive courses to those who are enrolled in shorter programs (1 – 4 weeks) because of the intensive course load.
