Admission – How it Works: From all of us at Engage in the West Bank, Palestine, we thank you for applying to volunteer, intern, or study Arabic in the city of Hebron, West Bank, Palestine. We are looking forward to welcoming you into our family. Our outstanding team will do everything possible to ensure you have an enjoyable and memorable stay.

As an international volunteer, intern, or Arabic student at Engage in the West Bank, Palestine, you will be able to enjoy many exciting opportunities when you arrive in Palestine. All of our programs are designed to allow you to engage fully with the Palestinian culture, forge strong relationships, and challenge yourself.

As a volunteer, intern, or Arabic student, you will contribute importantly to the Palestinian community. While embracing a new lifestyle, you will also meet plenty of new people (Palestinians and other internationals). You will be able to learn a new language and work alongside the local Palestinians and refugees from and around the city of Hebron.

In this article, we will provide you with more information about the admission process to all our programs offered at Engage in the West Bank, Palestine.

When Can I Start?

Engage in the West Bank, Palestine, which accepts applications and participants all year round, usually for one week to three months. You can freely choose your starting and ending dates. At Volunteer In Palestine, we offer three main programs: Arabic language classes, internship programs, Arabic online courses, and volunteer programs. 

Who Can Apply?

Our programs are open to all, whether you are a student, undergraduate, English native speaker or non-native speaker, graduate, professional, professor, worker, family, solo traveler, researcher, or retired. You must be 18+ years old to participate. 

Steps to Getting Started in Our Programs:

  1. Choose which program you are interested in. 
  2. Email us requesting an application, listing the name of your desired program. 
  3. We will send you the application. You will fill it out and send it back to us.

After We Receive Your Application:

  1. We review the application with our team (this usually takes a week)
  2. You may be invited to a short talk via Skype, Zoom, or WhatsApp to give you more information and answer all the questions.

Selections Process

  1. We will send you an acceptance letter and a program contract.
  2. Sign the contract and send it back to us.
  3. Pay the fees online. 
  4. You are ready to come to Hebron, Palestine, and join our Volunteer In Palestine family. 

Before Arrival to Palestine: 

Engage in the West Bank will introduce you to our family and staff. If you want to, you could also meet virtually other participants who will be at the center simultaneously. Before arrival, we can also introduce participants staying with a Palestinian host family to you. 

If you need it, Engage in the West Bank team will be more than happy to organize a Skype or Whatsapp call to discuss travel instructions to Hebron, answer any questions, and provide more information.
