The story of Engage in the West Bank, Palestine started in 2011. Our center was established to serve Palestinian children, and students and enhance community life. Its purpose was and continues to be a space where Palestinians and internationals can meet and engage with one another through educational programs and cultural exchange which aim at enhancing the skills of the Palestinian community members in different fields.

These fields include English conversational classes, writing skills, life-skills training, seminars, entertainment activities, musical events, and many more. We strive to create a space for you to share your many talents with our community and be able to learn from us as well.

Reaching many members of the Palestinian community

The work of Engage in the West Bank, Palestine has reached many members of the Palestinian community and as such, has a distinguished reputation within Hebron as the educational destination for those who want to learn a language or a skill. Since its creation 10 years ago, the center has managed to teach around 20,000 local students from all age groups who come from all areas of the city of Hebron and the surrounding villages.

Desirable destination for internationals

Engage in the West Bank, Palestine has also achieved another goal to make the center a desirable destination for internationals who come from every corner of the globe. The center has, so far, hosted more than 1000 internationals, who have joined various educational programs.

They have provided a lot of help for Palestinians and are a key part of our community. Their assistance has been particularly helpful in teaching English to Palestinians, which is one of the most desirable languages and one that Palestinians are eager to learn.

Did we stop there?

Of course not! The ongoing success of the center has pushed us to continue our work in Germany, specifically in the city of Halle, the southernmost part of the North German Plain, on the River Saale.

Engage in the West Bank, Palestine started to offer educational programs to both locals and internationals in 2018. The center has had a great impact on refugees, migrants, and members of the local community as well as on internationals who come from different countries and backgrounds.

Final remarks

The Excellence Center believes strongly in the fundamental role that education plays in the lives of the Palestinian community. To this end, the Excellence Center will continue to develop and create new programs and activities that further this role.

Today, Engage in the West Bank, Palestine has a notable presence as a vibrant educational, cultural, and community center not only in Hebron but also in the Middle East– one that continues to offer a wealth of opportunity.
